Studio Projects, Free Video Clip, The Leading Ladies, Canciones, and More
John Sawoski has been in a Hollywood studio for part of March and most of April 2006, working for a client on two recording projects due to be released next year. More news will be available at http://www.LAPianist.com when the projects are released.
Meanwhile, on vibraphonist/composer Carl Rigoli's current release, Journey, (Carmelo Recordings), John Sawoski "superbly executes" Alan Alper's string section arrangements on keyboards, along with pianist John Rodby, drummer Mark Stevens, bassist Richard Maloof, and, of course, vibraphonist/percussionist/composer Carl Rigoli. The album is available at: http://cdbaby.com/cd/rigoli9 . Click to listen to free audio clips of tracks featuring John Sawoski:
Click to watch a video clip of a scene (with music by John Sawoski), from a film called Showboy, which recently aired in 40 million households in the US. In this scene, the lead character tours the Liberace Museum in Las Vegas and fantasizes about playing a piece that sounds like something Liberace would play (actually composed and performed by John Sawoski). Most of the film score is composed by Daniele Luppi, who receives screen credit for the score. (John Sawoski is on the ASCAP Cue Sheet, and receiving payment for the music in this scene.)
