 | GREGG MARX with THE JOHN SAWOSKI TRIO Fridays through December 15 7:30 pm – 11:30 pm Il Moro Ristorante 11400 West Olympic Boulevard West Los Angeles 310-575-3530 | John Sawoski plays piano and music directs (mostly his arrangements) for Emmy Award-winning actor and vocalist Gregg Marx at Il Moro restaurant, in an evening of Jazz-tinged standards, performing timeless classics of The Great American Songbook, along with new works destined to become classics. The group features legendary jazz bassist Nedra Wheeler and veteran studio and stage drummer Jack LeCompte. http://www.reviewplays.com says: Anyone who wants to feel the sounds of love should bring his/her significant other for a significant evening of song. Few singers have the magic in the voice that Gregg brings, and even fewer can reach through to your heart and play the love strings like a harp. The musical platter is full and rich, and everyone gets a little something they like.
No cover charge.
Casual, yet elegant, Il Moro Ristorante features exquisite award-winning Northern Italian cuisine and an extraordinary wine list. Choose the romantic dining room, or dine 'al fresco' on the intimate heated patio. Friday nights, drop in for dinner and stay for the music (dining available in the bar, too), or simply drop by for a glass of wine and some of the best music in Los Angeles. Fridays 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm, Il Moro Ristorante, 11400 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90025. Click here for map and directions. |
